HTC Desire HD Review

HTC Desire HD Review

HTC Desire HD was launched in October this year as was hoped for by a number of expectantly waiting users. The exciting HTC Desire HD is considered to be a competition to the other phones either lined up or already out in the market. The smartphone has some great features and comes across as if it is quite ready for a clash with the others.

The device comes with a 4.3 inch wide display screen and uses Android 2.2. It comes packaged with a plethora of accessories, as expected with any such smartphone. From a USB charger to a microUSB data able, the phone comes with everything you would need to fully utilize its various features. The headset comes with music controls, Play, Pause and Skip. However, you can always use any headset of your choice as HTC Desire HD has a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The HTC Sense User Interface has a great format. The RAM and CPU have definitely improved considering the increased screen size and resolution. Because of the new Android 2.2, the Sense User Interface has better speed, is more flexible and has an attractive look. It also has some fresh wallpapers as well as a widget. The icons also have a different kind of appeal to them.

HTC Desire gets the same features for the phonebook as its predecessor, but has some extended functionalities. Usual details such as contact name, photo, different numbers and so on can easily be added. However, the screen now has five more tabs on the bottom. These take you to the messages sent by a contact, Facebook contacts, emails from a contact and call history.

It allows users to send as well as receive messages in different types of formats including emails, MMS and SMS. Instant messaging is also possible using Google Talk. The keyboard QWERTY turns out to be handy and can easily be used with portrait and landscape modes. It also has a 5 mp camera which is however available with a number of phones these days.
