The Nokia N8 Vs Other Smartphones
The Nokia N8 is out and is being touted as Nokia’s answer to Android and Apple, being the very first Symbian smartphone manufactured by the company. However, the question is, can it really compete with the market space occupied by other smartphones, or even with its own predecessor N95?
The phone is filled with some excellent features that anyone would wish in a smartphone. Apart from them Nokia has introduced something that it has never done before. Nokia N8 looks quite attractive from the outside and has some promising features. The various features include a Dolby 5.1, a good camera, HDMI output, and video facility that genuinely make it a useful device for multimedia.
The camera is probably one of the best features of the smartphone, where features such as color tone, white balance, contrast, flash control and ISO sensitivity can be easily adjusted. With 12 megapixel, auto-focus, xenon flash, mechanical shutter and Carl Zeiss optics, you can safely leave your digicam at home. You can even take HD videos using the same camera at an amazing 720p HD, much better than even what some of the digicams offer.
The device has good about 16 GB in built memory plus MicroSD (32 GB), so that movies can be played High Definition quality. Ovi Music can also be accessed and downloaded. The smartphone also has a 3.5 inches touchscreen that is a delight to use especially with the display effects while playing videos or watching movies on YouTube.
The graphics processor works extremely well with the games. Other features include Bluetooth, a fresh Web Browser, WiFi, 10 Mbps HSDPA, FM Radio and GPS. The one aspect that might stop it from rising high in the market is its user interface that appears to be outdated when matched with other devices. Because of the support from almost all email services it stands a good chance of competing with the others.
